How I help
Whether you’re staring at an IEP you don’t understand or walking into a meeting that feels stacked against you, that’s exactly the gap I built this practice to close.
I read your child’s IEP closely, and the evaluation behind it if we need to check the two match. Then we talk it through together and build your plan for the next meeting.
I help you prepare exactly what to ask for, so you’re an informed participant in the meeting. Afterward, we debrief on how it went and map out next steps, including how to make sure the school actually follows through on the IEP or behavior plan.
Evaluations are confusing. I help you understand what to request and why, then walk you through what the results, MET or psychoeducational, actually mean once they’re back. From there, we figure out what it takes to get that reflected in your child’s services.
Know your rights, learn the language special education runs on, and become a full, informed member of your child’s IEP team. One-on-one coaching, at your pace.
Moving between schools, public to private, or into a day school? I help you navigate the transition and the paperwork without losing services.
Let’s figure it out together.
“After our first conversation, the overwhelm was already settling. She clearly explained our rights as parents, the procedural steps for the upcoming meetings, and set the proper expectations. Put simply, it felt a lot less scary.”
“Jamie is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly cares about helping families advocate for their children. Thanks to her, I felt more confident attending meetings, communicating with the school, and ensuring my son received the services and support he needed.”
“Families can feel confident knowing their children will be supported with compassion, respect, and understanding.”

Step by step
A no-pressure call about your child, your worries, and what’s coming up. If I can help, I’ll tell you how. If I can’t, I’ll tell you that too.
I review the documents, spot the gaps, and give you a clear strategy for the meeting: what to ask for and why.
I prep you before the meeting, then we talk after: what came up, how it went, what questions you still have. You’re never figuring this out alone.
That meeting is coming either way. A free half hour now means you walk into it knowing what to ask for.
